I have my /6 2.7 rebuild installed in my car. I had planned on just putting a ring type sender under the spark plug. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that it fits. I cannot fit the socket and sender into the opening for the spark plug. What are my options for cht senders? I do not want to take my engine back out.

I may be wrong, but as long as there is no dirt/junk in the fan shroud the cyl s don't run hot in a /6

Hi Steve,

I got a ring type on cylinder 3 of my 2.7.

I slipped it on the plug, inserted plug into socket with extension, and get it in. Did not have much trouble with it.

JmuRiz may be right. I am much more conscious of the oil temp than the CHT but that gauge is also farther away for me to read.
