I have an annoying oil leak. Its coming somewhere above the oil pump and gathers on the drivers side left rubber engine mount. I removed the filter to check out the gallery plugs but they look good. The only thing i can think of is the small crank seal, but its difficult to see anything with the fan shroud in the way.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Remove the fan and take a look .

you can buy a flourescent dye that you add to the oil.
Then you can see where it is coming from with a special (cheap) light.

That sound like the way to go, thanks very much

Thanks again, leak found, I got some flourecent dye on Ebay and it worked prety good.
One of the oil galleries up by the filter was weaping oil it was difficult to be sure where the oil was coming from without the dye. The gallery had been drilled and tapped/pluged with a NPT steel plug. The thread is not good hence the leak. I had previously used Loctite 577 to try and seal it.
I have now tried to seal it using JB weld......not sure if it will work as the aliminium block will expand more than the epoxy?
Anyway I will soon find out
