I see we have to relist on Ebay, will send the link but pretty easy anyway. There are warehouses to only pick up the Chinese brand. We are the only ones that imported the Sekurit brand. They have to be picked up in New England or shipped.

Just a reminder we can send 1 or several in same crate for same shipping so the more the merrier. They run $170-185 range west coast for freight. For midwest southwest and south it is in the $150-170 range and less as you heat north and east.
We will be glad to quote just email direct at info@prosourceglassintl.com

If folks want the less expensive Chinese they are available for pick up in about 25 warehouses throughout USA. Just call us toll Free or email.

I really do not see the "bubble type" on the top but i can tell you the glass is a little thicker and better edges than the Chinese and no issues with any distortion which folks time to time complained about with the Chinese. We should have some feedback soon from several folks.

We also have clear ones on Ebay under prosourceglass. They are not the best pictures because windshields are inside crate , just too much glass around and no space. They are exactly what you would expect for clear no tint.

Just an update we have plenty of clear and green tint Sekurit windshields here still. I look forward to anyone posting feedback that have already received and installed so we can all get the info at the same time.

It's too bad you can't stock these somewhere in Southern California. I would have bought three of them already as the Chinese windshields just don't allow the trim to fit correctly along the top.

Are these to be warehoused somewhere soon in the Los Angeles area? I'm sure you could and would sell quite a few.

I could use one is So Cal also

I can use 2 in Phoenix

Hence my question in the original thread about the bubble upper portion. If it was there, the trim would fit nicely. Without it, there's a gap. dry.gif

I don't agree. I installed one of the Chinese units and the stock trim fit perfect. All depends on installation. I purchased 3 windshields at one time and saved a bunch of shipping.

I've had Ruffino install two windshields for me here, both Chinese, and they fit okay.

I'd just like to try the Sekurit one for a change.

I have installed 3 of the Chinese and, so far, 1 of the Securit and have been happy with the finished install.

I have installed a lot of 914 windshields and this is the method I use:
Please add comments if you use other methods.
I prefer not to use a glass service as most will use a caulk gun and sometimes glue the trim in place causing ruined trim next time it needs to be removed.
I use a 3M 08610 1/4" round butyl windshield kit with modified setting blocks at the bottom to allow for the aluminum trim to clear down into the opening and always 19 new trim clips (install first)
I have a simple tube that a pin punch fits inside to hold the trim clip tight against the frame and the punch end drives the securing pin in place.
Set the butyl at the inside edge of the opening and with a helper, center and set the windshield in place and press so you can see thru the glass that the butyl has contacted all the way around.
It can be helpful to mark on the windshield where the clips are located to know where to press.
Straighten the trim, assemble it in location and start snapping in at the center bottom and corners. I occasionally use a soft wood block to carefully secure a difficult clip. Each clip should "snap in" when secure.
Enjoy the new view!
Brad

How does this Ruffino dude install them? ... with the same method Brad mentioned?

I'm glad you guys say the trim can fit on a flat windshield. I will forward this information to the body shop I've discussed with. He pointed out the problem to me and brought up the original shape vs repro/new. beerchug.gif
Larmo63
Ruffino puts the butyl on the actual windshield first.

He does a nice job, and he is a nice guy. Highly recommended.
