What do the factory glass codes indicate.....are they date coded?

Delodur-F is tinted
Delodur-1 is non-tinted
Kansas 914

Don't know for sure but my guess is that the DOT 25/M173 identifies the test parameters that the glass had to pass in order be approved for use here in the US.

According to this site, http://www.carwindshields.info/windshieldmarkings

DOT25 is the manufacturer code
M173 is the model number code
AS2 is the glass position code

Just an observation.
The one with the VW symbol is original to the car. Or factory installed.
The Sigla is a German OE manufacturer, but a replacement piece.
This is a great subject for originality nuts.
I'm saving a factory windshield from a '70 even though it's scratched and high mileage.
