I have a passenger foot rest from my 02/70 built parts car, but it has a different looking strap on it than the ones I am seeing pictures of online. The ones I have seen online have what looks like a nylon webbing strap, mine has a strap made of the same material that the foot rest is covered in. Did someone recover this at some point and make their own strap, or is this perhaps something Porsche changed later in production?

I've seen the strap like yours a few times.
Probably an early feature.
I've never seen a fixed loop like the second poster has.
THAT is different.
