1986, the new 914.

“California Certificate of Title – Salvaged.”

So it is likely the car was in an accident and somebody tried to use a body kit to fix it on the cheap…

I think the extreme level of bad taste led them to believe it was ugly beyond repair.

That poor car!! Someone should put it out of its misery!

I'm confused. Why would someone sell a Ferrari Testarossa and call it a Porsche?
rgalla9146
It's a Fererrai right ?
Blue6
You guys are missing the point of the car, it's a crossover. Say you can't decide, or worse yet, you can't afford to have both a Porsche and Ferrari in your garage. Well, this is the solution. This also allows the man with a single car garage to be a multi car collector. Simply change the badging daily. biggrin.gif

I had one of those ferraris hanging around at CAMP.

I'm out.
It already hit $150.

It's a chopper-sprayed polyester-glass kit,and quite heavy,lots of mud.
There are many just like it,built when the 914's looks were the brunt of the 'auto-journalistas'.
Some have been rehabbed,to reflect the changing tastes of the last three decades.
A nose that might look more like the curves of a Porsche, not the plank of plywood,
the form from which the gelcoated part was made,in the '80s.
The asking price,a chunk of dough, one would have to really like the looks and quality of the build.

A slight mod to the real 914-Ford 5L-efi(302) V8-915Tx.
A return of siglamps and larger rad scoops.

Fairly sure this is the same 914 before the redesign,as a sale in Oregon.
Same kit,slightly modded.

.....and you admit it? dry.gif

Well,a short spend for a V8 914 or the base for your own take on 'Glass Kit'.
The Getty959 and BeachBoysRoadster parts are/were ok.

What I haven't seen is a 914 to 356 transformation,with a Targa in brushed ss or wrap.
A possibly acceptable rendition could be pleasing to the Porsche enthusiast.

Just means it was scrapped (as true of every car on CoPart).
