OK, So I know were not going to be able nail down costs to a T but I think it will be best if we get rather close.
I want to ID all the items that we are going to have to pay for and get a good handle of what those items are going to cost. Then we'll calculate about how many registrants were going to receive as well as how much we have in reserve from last year as well as sponsors.
Fixed Costs:
Park Fees-PP
Trophys
Variable Costs:
Shirts
Tags
Food
Again I know its early, but I want to start compiling the list. I would like to get the costs nailed down by year end.

In all three of the WCR events I have been involved with organizing, tshirts have been our profit center. We get the design done early, we presell to people who aren't coming and we usually exceeded costs by @ $700.
They cost around $6 each plus or minus for how elaborate or colorful they are. We sell them for $15 a $20 plus shipping.

Sounds good. Since it could be cold should we also offer hoodies/jackets to those that want them? Maybe an extra $35-40 for a jacket/hoodie? Just a thought.
If we can get registration down enough people will probably want to spring for it.

I have a buddy in Elk Grove with a T shirt business. We need to get the graphic design going. I'm sure I can get a deal on production.

Lets talk design.
We need a model car/s for the event and a backdrop. I can come up with the rest for the main T shirt design or we can have a contest in the forum.

I emailed McMark to see if he has previous years WCR graphics we can use as a template for the 2017 event.

Alright, I'll use it as a guide. Let me see what I can do tonight. I'd like something a bit more original.

That design was actually done for us by a graphic designer and 914 guy from the Monterey area. He did several of them early on. We just call him and he gets back to us in a few days with the design. I have his number. He works for free for us. The design has become kind of iconic WCR but we don't need to stick to that.
As far as hoodies or sweatshirts that is a great idea. The problem in the past has been we were required to buy such quantity that the price was too high. Mike's Elk Grove friend might be willing to work with us?

I think calling that guy is in order. Please do. Looks simple: superimpose half dome, change the date and title. Maybe change the color of the car?
My buddy will cut us a deal at just over cost. He gets shirts wholesale. No problem. I just need a graphic and I'm graphically challenged...

Graphic design guy isn't responding. I would proceed without him. A significant portion of the income for the event comes from t-shirt sales to guys who aren't going. We need to get them up and for sale soon. Mike Bellis seems to ave some graphics skills??

I think if we can nail down sponsors well put their logos on the bottom of the shirt back, thr WCR logo on the top rear and a 914 siloette on the front pocket area.
Find out how long it takes to get the shirts made and mailed. Who are you planning on using?

I contacted Glen Cordle @ Autoillustrated as he appears to be a 914 guy and has been doing some super awesome vectoring. Im going to see what he wants to charge for letting us use one of his images modified a little for our t shirt front. He has made some really cool stuff.

We have 33 guests total with 19 cars on the hotel registration. Myself nor Mike is registered and I believe there are more that will trickle in.
