This is a European delivery, non-cat 3.2L 231hp model (vs. 207hp for USA), that was grey-market imported in 1985 to Hawaii. As a Euro car, it also has shorter gearing and an oil cooler on the 915 transmission. This is a 3 owner car, that has been in Colorado, with all service records, since 1987. It is very original and unmodified, very clean, and very nice. Everything works as it should -- fog lights, horn, starts right up, shifts easily and correctly without crunches, steers well, no clunks or creaks. It is a joy to drive as it should be. In short, it's a great car you can jump in and go at a moments notice.
It has been cared for -- received a new top less than 8 years ago, regular service at a long time Porsche shop. It isn't perfect -- it has been used, but it has been cared for, stored inside and not abused or neglected. The drivers seat bolsters are not torn or worn through, the underside is very clean and straight, no accidents, the It has a few small scratches, and the glue from the silly door edge guards has dripped on the rocker covers. These are tiny issues.
The car is a great find, it has low miles (under 73k), but not so low you can't enjoy it and watch it increase in value as air cooled 911s continue to climb. Even if it didn't, it would be a wonderful car to own and drive -- a higher spec European model with more performance as the Porsche factory intended. It includes the original spare tire and air pump, tool kit, German language owners manual (as well as an English version with a bit of water damage) and the original cat bypass pipe. This has been cared for and enjoyed, and only being sold because of a daughter preparing for college. It could easily be a weekend car or an addition to a collection. Being a ROW car, it is likely more easy to import back into Europe. Happy to help with shippers, etc. at buyers request.
