Update: the part is confirmed as a standard "door switch" for a VW beetle. So if you ever need one, search on most any VW parts site. Part number is 113-947-561





Installed the carpet kit and broke the switch.

Does anyone have a working one lying around or know the part number? I searched and found a number of old threads saying it could possibly be a Beetle or Vanagon door switch? Nothing confirmed.

looks similar. . 914 uses a single contact to frame ground like this one. . The dealer replacement ones has 2 contacts and you just leave one blank.
