Full Version: Cleaned out the Rocker panel covers
Rust fetuses 
Didn't I read somewhere that you put spacers under the lower bolts so the dirt falls out and can't gather in big lumps?
Must have been the weekend to do it. After three years owning my car I finally worked up the courage to completely pull of my rocker covers today, too. I got a couple of pounds of dirt and crap as well.
A bit of a mixed bag. Passenger side looked pretty good...just surface rust...

...driver's side jack point cover is a bit of a mess. I'll clean that up and weld a patch on there:

Overall, it could have been worse
. Now I don't have to worry/wonder all winter long what's going on under there
