Yea but it is history on wheels--that car spawned a plethora of rebodies--and I have seen in pics of some bradleys done up really nice---but I digress---1050 lbs and 200 HP---who really gives a real s^*t what it looks like--talk about a sleeper--

If my memory hasn't totally been lost, wasn't the Bradley GT a kit car that fit onto a VW beetle? I faintly remember seeing the kits available in Popular Science.

I saw a dogged-out Bradley in the Daytona area back in March (my Sebring 12 Hr trip). And I do mean dogged-out. Not a pretty sight!

It was such a popular kit, the Bradley GT II even had what looked like 5mph bumpers on it to make it look more 'modern'.
...But I still want a Puma.

I agree with jwalters. Kit cars do have awsome performance potential, as well as some historical value. I had an Aztec 7 kit car with a stock single port motor and monza exhaust. Damn thing would go well over 100 mph and cornered like a slot car. I've got a link for Aztec 7's if anybody is interested.

I like that era car... almost like Poncherella, BJ McKay, or Enos could jump out of one of those.

You mean something like this?
"Real" kit car or this?
"Concept" car

Not necessarily the most aesthtically pleasing design (IMO), but it definitely could have potential.
I like the looks of the Aztec better, kindof a 'champagne look' on a 'beer budget.'
Anybody know what other types of kit cars were available in the past that utilized a VW chassis?

....I thought the Cobra would be sorta exempt from the Beetle based kit car craze....but I've actually found pics of a Cobra kit car on a Beetle.

I have a friend who converted a Bradley GT to electric. Pretty cool actually. Light weight, low CD, perfect for an effecient commuter car. Got a couple hundred miles on a single charge...
