I purchased some Fuchs wheels and I would like to polish the spokes and paint the the area in between black, just like the current car of the month. I like this look as the contrast highlights the spokes. Anyway, as you can see in the picture I experimented with one of the wheels by doing several stages of wet sanding and polishing, but was wondering if there is an easier way to remove the clear coat.
Thanks,

Please don't paint black between the paddles on the 4 lugs. It makes them look like Mattel "Hot Wheels" and cheapens them.

Well, though I agree with Rand, it is your car.

There are several ways to remove the anodized finish from the wheels. I believe one of the easier ways is to use easy-off oven cleaner. But it has been decades since I stripped an anodized wheel. Don't worry, someone on here will chime in who has done it recently. beerchug.gif
