That's what I thought. Where would it put the filler neck with the extra 90 degree bend?

It would be higer and pointed into the engine bay, right? I don't see how it would even mount up, wouldn't the dip stick tube prevent that possibility? It's been hacked.

Item had ended,but I did see a nice 2.0 914 core motor for $2495 ,absolute steal at that price hope he has another ,I could then buy 2 . Got it ,great price ,looks like the tank has had some welding and the sellers feedback is a bit sketchy...

The filler neck pictured in the ad is for a 911 with AC. It is done to clear the compressor.
