I'm preparing to drop my engine. While disconnecting the clutch cable yesterday, I noticed the plastic sheath was cracked in multiple places. I'm planning to replace it while the engine is out.

My concern is that it's not very old. 4 years & about 30,000 miles. I forget what brand it was.

Are there any brands of clutch cable that hold up better than this? Or is this just normal for our 914's.

Thanks

Bob, didn't you just have your engine out? blink.gif

Um, yes. dry.gif

Transmission started leaking pretty bad...and I've got a very small (but very annoying) oil leak from my freshly rebuilt engine that I might as well take care of "while I'm in there."

Do you know the source of the engine oil leak?

I have a stock cable, not a Terry. Works/ looks fine.

Oil leak looks to be in the front seal, oil pump area.
