So as I was racing around at the WCC track event my front suspension began to "clunk" loudly.
I asked around and thought I had a diagnosis at hand. (loose strut cartrage nut).
I didn't want to say no to the day so I kept the car on the track.
After driving it home, It got put away for the week.
Today I really took a look at it and found the right ball joint had gone away.
Now for the request...
My new parts are in hand.
I have the car disassembled to the point of removing the ball joint retaining nut.
Any body out there have the tool I could borrow for the minute to takes to
remove the old and install the new joint? I guess I could make one but I'm hoping
I could just use someone eles's instead.
Thanks in advance
I also plan on a 'Turbo tie-rod" install as part of this repair.
Any advise would be apreciated.
Thanks again.

You can find a tool at the FLAPS that is very close. Check this article:

Didn't someone post some pictures of a tool they made out of some pipe fittings? I think it was one of our Canadian brothers - Bruce, maybe?

Thanks.

JCWhitney used to sell a copy of the Assenmacher tool for around $15 I believe. Works better than a fork in my opinion.
Never mind, you wanted the nut loose, not the taper fit.

All is good in the world again.
My pipe wrench was all I needed to get the job done.
Never mind....
