I'm looking for suggestions for a retro style radio for my 76. I think I would like blue tooth and other modern features. There is a great many choices so I would like to narrow it down with members ideas.
Thanks Brian

Look at the Continental VDO line. Have a proper appearance and the features you're looking for.

In addition to the above, you can look at Woody's Customs at the link below, who has been selling to Porsche & other Euro Classics owners for decades (they also usually have a booth at the big Porsche LA Swat Meet/Lit Show every March), so look for their shop for evil-bay online store since you're in OH (they're here here in SoCal Costa Mesa CA, in The OC)....

And there is Retro Radios who advertises in Panorama, Excellence, Hemmings Sports & Exotics (sorry, but I don't have their link).

You may also want to check out Porsche's own classic radio with Nav & all the goodies, at the link below - look at either/both Suncoast Porsche in FL or Sunset Porsche in OR for best pricing, since it's typical Porsche parts pricing (read expensive) - but it is made for older 911/912/930s & 914s etc.

I have a RetroSound Classic.

I had to mess with it a bit to get to look good, but I really like the look of it— it looks early 70s

I did not want a faceplate like the one it comes with in the picture.
So I cut a 914 radio dash plate to fit just the center section and the knobs.

Retrosound makes a chrome bezel for just the center section that is too thick, but i sanded it down to stick out about as much as a Blaupunkt Frankfurt.
Same with the knobs, they stick out too far, like an old American car radio. I sanded the backs of them down so they sit tighter against the dash like a Blaupunkt.

The radios require a lot of fiddling to get to sit right because you can change so many mounting parameters. Essentially, they sell the same bodies with multiple accessories to make them configurable to mimic multiple era/brand vintage radios.

The radios aren't very dependable however. The LED display stopped working after three months. I was going to replace it, but my rust issues are overwhelming me for a few months.

They make a higher end one with bluetooth and more power. The base one I bought is very under powered—which incidentally is also very retro

Marshall kilburn, and block off the hole in the dash! Plenty loud enough with stock exhaust, and you can take the party with you when you park!

Just put a Continental in my '85 Targa.

I like the look. Can be bought here: Continental Radio

Have Blaupunkt NOS (modern one) in my car keeping my old Frankfurt stereo securely in a box for shows and Porsche days ,I think the Woodys speed and custom is the way to go,seem to get good feedback.
