Nope - it's a transplant, & your car could've originally been a 1.8 or 2.0, which you won't know without documentation or from a COA.
GA - 73-74
GC - 75-76
914 Info link at the top right of every page on here is your friend!
http://www.914world.com/specs/engnumbs.phpPS - the cases were basically the same, but there are some differences - as the GC was detuned & used a Crapalytic Converter for CA, so the 2.0 turned out less HP either way CA (least) or 49 state.
The chart at the link above says 95 vs 88 HP, but IIRC from when I test drove a new 75 & 76 in 1975 before deciding on my 73 2L - the CA detuned 2L was only 86 HP due to the added CAT.
PSS - If you can prove the car was a factory 2.0, then you may want to use the GC motor so that it's close to correct - especially if the case number/motor was originally in that 914 - making it a numbers matching car. If it's a converted 1.8, then you could use either - probably the one in best condition, & you may want to consider making it a 2056 (talk to McMark at Original Customs on that - see his banner ad).
Stay dry up there!
