Will anyone have an open seat for Fridays fun? Brad and I both are looking for one. Since I will have the F250 & trailer kind of hard to follow along. We are staying at the lovey knights inn, but We could meat up somewhere as long as there is room for me to leave the truck & trailer there.

Len - the app I use is find my friends and it is free. We just need to delete each other after the event or I will know Linda's every move and she will know mine and the later is no good in case she ever meets my wife.

I have an open seat. I'll warn you , they're Konigs. Widened 2" but still Konigs. I'm cutting it pretty close on assembly. Should have the bugs sorted and be able to participate. If it turns out I don't get it done, I'll give you a heads up.

As of now I'm planning on being there for the Friday drive, BBQ at Bob's, and dinner on Friday. My wife was originally going to come with me but has to stay home with my daughter now. I asked my neighbor / friend, a Mustang guy , if he wanted to tag along and see real sports cars. He seemed doubtful (even after I offered to switch the hotel room back to a single king bed for the both of us - go figure ).

Bottom line, good chance I'll be solo and have a seat available, but won't know until closer to the date.

Hey all, since Dudzy's914 is on the road, we plan to be there. Planning on doing the Friday drive, meeting at Bobs house by 12:30. We will be trailering it to PA and driving from there. I will probably be driving, and dad driving the truck and trailer behind and can have a tool kit. That means I will have an empty seat if anybody needs a ride. Also plan on meeting to drive into the park.

Two weeks from right now, I expect to be shoveling a big, juicy hunk of steak into my pie hole while sucking down a beer, talking about a great day on the road with my 914 brethren. Priceless.

We need to put a head count together for the bar-b-que. If your planning to come Friday for the bar-b-que (Friday 11:30 am to 1:00 pm) can you let us know by posting here.

Steve, I was out this year for this year's drive so just attending Saturday, but I just found out my schedule might be clear for Friday. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow evening if that is not too late. Thanks.

Busy weekend prepping for Hershey. Oil changed, valves adjusted, swapped injectors, gearbox topped off, and cleaned and polished the body. The paint looks slightly less crappy now in most spots Still can't hold a candle to Len, but at least it's running like a champ.

I'm afraid I'm out on Friday. Too many setbacks in assembly. Don't want to rush the final details. Really wanted have the car ready. Will be there Saturday to see everyone. Finally have to admit defeat.

So...I hadn't seen this thread until today...and noticed that a date was never posted. Yeah, I know, it's at the Hershey swap meet, but for people that have never attended, date would have helped.

Wish we could go as I always plan to, Unfortunately I will be racing at Watkins Glen that weekend...

I will not be there until Dinner Friday night at the earliest. I am justifying getting the kids out of school for the trip by taking them to Gettysburg and the Flight 93 memorial, so that will eat up a lot of our Friday. I will have a total of 4 for dinner.

The shop says they are now 90% sure they will have the 2.0 up and running for the first time in 31 years in time for the trip. They spent 10 hours assembling it yesterday.

I'm in for the BBQ plus one, I plan on leaving VA by 8:00 AM. The car has been acting up the past several weeks. I hope to do a shake down drive all week. Thermostat cable broke and I need to get it sorted out. Valves adjusted, timing set, vaccumm lines updated. I have a small flat spot at 3500. Like someone jammed on the brakes. Fingers crossed that it works out I can drive it up. Anyone else coming from the South? We could drive in together..

Afraid so. If things go well it will on be a couple weeks late. Have you hit Bucks County Exotics yet? 1st and 3rd Saturday 8-10 at the Starbucks by the Movie theatre on 611 just south of Doylestown. Planning to go to Carlisle in May for the import show..

I missed several events that I planned on driving the 914 to. I think you are wise for taking your time during this critical final phase. You'll still have plenty of driving time this year.

91.7 miles, 2 hours, 22 minutes driving time. Please print copies of the maps & directions. I'll have cheat sheets for everyone with the checkpoint addresses the day of the drive, but not full directions. A GPS would be helpful to have in case you get separated from the group.

1st leg:

- At the very end of this leg, it may get a little dicey trying to keep the group together due to traffic lights, roundabouts, etc. through Gettysburg. But the first checkpoint is very close.

- When entering the Gettysburg National Military Park, follow signs for bus/RV parking. We will regroup in that parking lot. Restrooms and vending machines available.

Unfortunately, I have to work on Friday, so I can't come up for the barbecue or the drive. However, I'd like to meet y'all at the Dunkin Donuts for the caravan to the swap meet. What time are you planning to arrive at the DD, or at least to leave from it?

Also, at which DD are y'all meeting? According to the DD web site, there are two DD's in Hershey. The first one is at 100 West Hershey Park Dr, Hershey, PA 17033. The other is at 605 Park Ave, Hershey, PA 17033. With my luck, if I just pick, I'll end up at the wrong one.
