Many of you know the trials and tribulations we've had with our race car Papa Smurf. And recently I've had a bunch of people asking how things are going....soo....
Last weekend, we were had a DE at Carolina Motorsports Park. Only got about 2 1/2 out of the 4 sessions in on Saturday (short session due to timing, red flagged session due to accident/fire on the track) and it snowed Sunday, so that was a wash (white?) out. But...in those limited sessions, the car ran PERFECT! Really freakin' fast...actually a bit faster than I'm used to/comfortable with at the moment. Need much more seat time to get comfortable and exploit what the car can do. But hey..thats fun right?? I was easily the fastest car on track that weekend...

Which is why I was fastest car in track!!
It's definitely the fastest car....driver needs a lot of work!!

well...the car is good...not sure about the driver!
And I promise to have video from Road Atlanta next weekend!
After following all your issues its very enjoyable to read that everything is working again!
So next weekend is the PCA race at Road Atlanta. Last weekend I put Papa up on the lift, checked it all out, ran a power line to a dash switch for the Smartycam, cleaned it... not much else to do. Two weeks before a race and it's all ready....

Yeah Bob...that IS how it is supposed to be - someday, I'll hopefully experience it myself! I'll be running this weekend laying down some rubber for you - just drive the 914 line.
