I've got a low spoiler and no fog lights so this is appealing. For those that have already done this, how much reinforcement to prevent ripping apart the chassis?

Looks like a very weak area.

I would start with a sway bar reinforcement plate lengthened to the bumper mounting holes and a plate welded to the front at the tow bar mount. Tie everything together. While your at it, tie the two tow bar mounts together with a 2"x1/8" thick steel bar across the front under the bumper. Effectively making a steel horseshoe across the front of the car.
