I have never understood how the flimsy and flexible skin of a 914 rear trunk lid can take the stress of mounting a rack and the weight of the luggage added to it. How are these things mounted to handle the load? Just curious.

I would definitely rock a luggage rack on a second rear deck lid for travel. Just pop rear lid on and off! Now that I have no front trunk.
