Any new old stock for in specs 90mm x 66mm stroke 1970ish 1.7L piston ring sets out there ?
Seems like there used to be a "euro" W series after market kit with 8.6:1 pistons at one time. My first restoration has them.

If you have the "euro" 8.6:1 pistons with new ring set that would be choice #1 if the 90mm pistons are in good shape.
If not, then choice #2 would be to put a new ring set on my my stock 8.0:1 pistons.
In terms of output power, it's really only about 2.5-3hp difference, that's why i said "either".
