Sorry, meant qts not gallons.
Hold off on the size. Might be too large.
Adding oil cooler to motor cover. Probably only need
3 qt sump..

do you mean that you want a high volume oil pump (mounted on the motor)

or are you looking for an accusump? which is not an oil pump really...
although it is able to relieve its oil pressure back into the system

sorry it just wasn't clear to me

Very unclear as to what you want. Are you looking for an oil pump? An oil sump? Dry sump and tank?

Sorry about confusion. The question is whether to go with just the basic 11/2 qt oil pan that is attached to the existing oil pan, or go to a dry sump oil tank that holds 8-12 gallons. I'm having a hard time finding a dry sump tank or prices.

If you are looking for a high capacity 2 to 4 gallon oil tank for a race car, then I may have your answer. Let me know.

Why do you need to add oil capacity? Street car?
brant
if this is a race car I can understand a dry sump system
expensive and complicated but can be beneficial

if this is a street car.... you only need a tuna can
these have traditionally been much preferred over a larger sump which bolts onto the motor. The deep sump is vulnerable to damage in road use, and also the case is not strong where these mount... so generally the tuna can accomplishes the same thing with less risk

I actually run a 5 gallon (20quart) oil system on my race car
but again, the application is very different than street use

Race car, only.
