My Driver's side reel is giving me trouble. Thought I would see what folks might have in their "I'll never use this" bin to sell for cheap.
For safety sake, I have looked around on the aftermarket web. Anyone have suggestions if I would just buy new?
Seat belt planet has a full set
vintagewarehouse65uk is an eBay seller that will sell just 1.
I saw one NIB on eBay.

I would try to find the OEM part.
I looked around a bit and found a '73 911 belt that worked for me.
Sometimes, it just takes some sleuthing.

What year car is it for. The hardware varies. Any year will fit. I have several.

My car is a 75. IIRC i found a decent unit for the drivers side in a junk yard. That is the one acting up. It is a 73 maybe.
I took it apart tonight. Re-assembled it. Operated it 50 times and it worked every time. So I guess I am ok for now.
Let me ask. Are the retracter reels the same? That is, springs on the right (drivers side) and the fat covers (locking mech) on the left?

I was thinking NEW cause i figured they worked better and would work for a longer period and maybe would be safer.
