In my search of some NOS sheet metal parts for my 914-6 I came across these...
I've never seen these around so I couldn't pass it up.
I'll reach out to RD about these as some have wanted these reproduced in the past.
cary
Way cool .....
They would be great formed, rather than hammered out.
Thanks for snatching those up.

I was scratching my head then I realized what I was looking at !
That is very cool. Never seen these before except on the chassis

Luke,

I do have this part as well. And BTW, there is a smaller piece that is welded on the suspension console beside these parts. That of which I have as well. Hopefully I can get them scanned in the next couple months and start designing a tool to stamp these.

Keep looking for the NOS! There's tons out there still.

I'm still scratching my head .... errr idea.gif .... even though I do see it is formed for lines to run by them. huh.gif

Hey Luke - There is a Parts Vault forum on here, where it would be most helpful for members if you can post these pix of them & the p/n's, etc. It has a specific format of how the mods/admins want them posted, so read their instructions at that forum.

TIA for that & for contacting RD! beerchug.gif

That would be great. I'm a buyer.

OK, the old guy has no idea where they go. Enlighten me.
BeatNavy
I believe they are the pieces that tie the inner and outer suspension consoles together. On the car they kind of just look like a bunch of metal going across the upper wheelhouse piece.

Cary made some templates for me, and I was going to hammer out some of my own. But if RD has them almost ready to sell, I'm on board.
Unobtanium-inc
At Unobtanium we have a standing rule to offer all our NOS metal to RD first, most times they take it. Everyone should do this, it benefits the whole community to have a company with such high quality produce metal the right way and make it available. So if you have an NOS piece in the corner of your garage, pass it on to RD, everyone wins!
Here was one of the last piles we sent them.
bretth
How thick are these parts? Need to do my passenger side.

You are correct..

I'll measure the thickness of the metal in the morning.
peteyd
These are NOS, I just sand blasted and painted them because they weren't that pretty.

Its hard to tell if this is the part# from PET. The drawings are not exact and I can not find any other documentation.

Aren't they also a 914-6 GT part ?

Looks like Armando has a source for these already. These would have to sell for big bucks for me to justify building a die for them. There would be a very limited amount of people that would be interested in these.

Hi Glenn,

I saw the stash of parts that your getting soon too.. shades.gif drooley.gif
I still need the r/r inner wheel housing. Most of these parts are going into my 6.

I need the r/r q-panel for my 6 so I'll need to keep that.

Early one has no way to mount the late retractable shoulder seat belt.

Nice... I'm still looking for the pass side. Also looking for a nos l/r q-panel too.
Looks like the one on my 6 has been repaired/rusted out in the past .

the passenger inner wheelhouse is going to be as hard to find as that passenger longitudinal you found, good luck

Found this early nos rear panel out in CA. Had some damage prior to shipping but more damage occurred during shipping. Nothing that can't be fixed.
I have a few more nos items in the works.
