Car is a '74 2.0L with Dual DRLA-40 Dellorto Carbs

When balancing my carbs I have to use the air bypass screw on cylinder #2 in order to get equal draw compared to the other three. When I do this, am I supposed to richen the idle mixture on that barrel to compensate for the increased air volume entering that cylinder?

Thanks,

Roughly speaking ? Yes.
The mixture of each cylinder is adjusted by the note and smoothness of the engine.
Adjust from lean toward rich on each cylinder.
Turn the idle mixture screw in till the cylinder falls off.
Now turn the mixture screw out till the idle becomes smooth again.
Turn out slightly more (1/8 turn ?)
Repeat on each cyl. Check for uniform flow.
Check mix on each cyl. Check for uniform flow.
None of this is possible or correct until you are certain you have a healthy engine
with correct valve adjustment, correct ignition dwell and correct ignition timing.
