How hard is it to change standard 914 switches for toggle switches,i know behind the standard light switch you have over 10 wires,is there a specific type of toggle for each switch. With the wiper switch for instance it has 2 speeds how would a toggle switch deal with this
Thanks Brian

You need two switches to make it work correctly. Both are SPDT (single pole, double throw) which means there is a common power supply wire, and two opposing connections, one for 'up' and one for 'down'.

One switch is to turn the wipers on and off. In the on position 12v power is supplied to the high/low switch. In the off position 12v power is supplied the Green/White wire which is what powers the wipers, after they're turned off until they reach the 'parked' position and then they stop.

The second switch simply applies power to the Black/Blue wire for low speed in one position, and power to the Black/Purple wire for high speed in the other position.
