So, LCD screens for desktop use are quite expensive. Seems I can get a used or refurbished LCD projector off of eBay for roughly the same or less than a new LCD monitor.
I'm curious... what brands are best? What make/model would you reccommend? What kinds of problems might there be with one? Any of you use them? TIA

The biggest things that go wrong on them is the bulb. The 6 that I use are Epson's and Sharps.
Replacement bulbs run about $450 to $500 per bulb.
The Epsons are better in pic quality and durability.
Dont move them around until after the bulb cools.
Don't move them around when hot.
