Hey guys, after 4 years here in Thailand I realize I'm not coming back home so I'm selling my electric 914.

Full sale details are here in the new post in my blog, along with pictures and descriptions of the full restoration and conversion process. http://porsche914e.blogspot.com/2017/05/th...s-for-sale.html

I'm happy to make a creative deal so let me know if you're interested and feel free to pass along to others.

Sawasdee Krab, I have been to Thailand around 20 times over the last 12 years. I can understand why you may want to live there. The people are the best. Now that Teslas are a bound (I got one of the first S) the mileage of a 914 at 50 miles does not really make it with Golf or Large boat batteries.
As you need batteries how much and what kind of extended mileage can you get from updated batteries? Also how much would that cost?

Yes, the blog I linked to has every picture during the restoration and conversion.

Yes, the original battery system is good as a short-term fun car. I did actually work up some plans for a lithium pack using CALB 180s, the details are in this blog post:

I didn't work out the exact mileage but it would be easily over 100 miles and capable of much faster charging.
