yup...i can honestly say i dont need parts at the moment. i need paint and some re-upholstery...but thats about it.

if enough people go, ill show up and bring my car in again. should we do lunch?

Hot I'd say! I'm planning to go but I'll roll outa D. Pt. @ 5am be there at 6:00-6:30. I could hang with anybody that wants to prowl the junk, er ah I mean parts in early hours but I'll be flushing outa there before noon.

I'm going to try my best to make it this time, assuming I can get a little time off of work.

We can pay extra and park in the preferred area.
I went a year ago and there were several teeners parked together in there.
Of course everyone will think there for sale.

if you bring your car (porsche, vw, old chevy, etc) you get to park in the 'show' area. 20 bucks total...cheaper than driving to the lot, 6 bucks for parking, and amission. all that is included in the 20 bucks

if you want a good place to meet, there is always a line of port-o-johns next to the VW-Porsche area. You could meet at the main aisle next to those. they are pretty easy to find.

As it turns out, my schedule has me at home on the 13th and I will probably plan on going. I haven't been there in a while. I didn't know there was prefered parking at the swap meat!! 6:30 am! Yikes! I don't know about that but I'll do my best.

If I get back in time from my N Cal trip, I'll see you there. I am looking for BMW 2002 parts for my latest project and my buddy is always there selling old flathead ford hot rod parts. Fun to go and look at the cars in preferred parking for sale. Dave Hall

The last time I went, I saw a decent 2002 sell for $400 (yes four hundred).

It wasn't pretty but it looked solid, and it was driven to the meet.

Kevin, I think you need your speedo checked. You were clearly going faster than light.

In fact, that picture is proof of your car getting younger the faster it goes.

pay to go to show area best way..and if you bring someone in yur car...split the cost and you're up two dollars compared to admission + parkin + friend

we could all meet up somewhere before hand and then all go to the show

I can appreciate that, however, I am thinking that AC in Pomona next Sunday is a requirement that my 914 doesn't meet. I know we all want to gawk at each others cars, but I'll cook like bacon in that heat out there.

sounds like a plan. Il be driving the teener (not something to write home about- so gawk away) seeing how its my only car. ill park in the show area- 6:30 am sounds good.

A good time was had by all......

that blue car was more than sweet better than new there was a red Dino there also that was very nice. BUT BOY IT WAS HOT!!!! took my son, son-in-law and granddaughter we all had a good time. I also bought some chrome wheel lugs for $1.50 each. not much 914 stuff there thou.

Sorry I missed everyone.
I wasn't feeling very good and spent half my time checking out the inside of the portapotties. I walked the isles and headed home.
That Blue Six was beautiful and so was the price tag.
It said something like factory invoice $6800 + collector car markup $18k = $24k or something like that.
I didn't see anything worth buying and headed home.
I hope I feel better next time.

also; it seemed that pelican parts had a display of parts (used). i was looking for the guy in the leather jacket and long hair (dave) it was fun- next time ill write my cell number on it and actually wash that car
