I need a couple of fasteners but not sure what they are called. I look under Dzus and see similar but not like this with "legs".

i want to make a cover for the air vent. Push and turn the fastener and cover stays down on place. Here's a terrible rendering of what I'm thinking.

Try Southco.com. They offer quite a selection of captive fasteners and will provide samples on request.

wow it's like a whole different world and language on these sites...looks like maybe a Camloc type. Sizing will be tricky. I guess the shaft or pin size will need to barely get through the slot opening...
