beerchug.gif Mystery Solved...Thanks to Bill C and Jeff Hail, this turned out to be a heat shield for 911 / 930 vehicles from 1978 - 1989. :-)

Looking for help to ID this odd piece of formed sheet metal (approx 36.5" long)... confused24.gif

This was given to me when I was buying some parts the other day. Story is that the guy who owned this was a Porsche collector, when he passed away and his family was cleaning the house, this was tossed in the trash, the guy who gave it to me thought it might be worth keeping knowing that this guy used to have Porsche's so he pulled it out of the trash.

I can't make heads or tails of it...I figure I would see if there were any Jack of all cars out there that may be able to solve this mystery biggrin.gif

Thanks in advance.

My guess is something for the fuel tank well in a different Porsche, not 914

Looks like it might be a piece of exhaust heat shielding from an 80's or 90's 911.
Jeff Hail
Its the shield for the rear center valance from a 930. Mounts on the backside.

It goes here...........
