Hi all...I'm getting heat in the cabin without pulling the RED lever.
Where should I begin?
I searched but couldn't find anything.
Thanks.

Flapper valves in the HE's are stuck and or broken.

or problems with the cables controlling the same.

You can get underneath the car and unbolt the valves to inspect their condition.

Time to get dirty.

I had the same problem. My heater valves looked like they were closing, but when I removed them, I found a loose nut stuck in one of them, blocking the flapper from closing all the way. If the flappers are closing all the way upon examination, the only other thing it could be is an actuator cable pulled too tight, preventing complete flapper closure. The cables should be slightly loose when you reattached them. So nice to drive without hot feet now!
