I have a set of engine grill letters that all pretty much look like the example below and wanted to get some advice on the best way to restore or refinish them.Click to view attachment

That one is cracked. Get a new P

Polish them and either anodize or clear coat.

Mine were beyond polishing, so I picked up some chrome and clear coat spray paint from the hardware store. Look much better than they did before, though not a shiny as original.

I sanded mine with a fairly course grit. It left a grain on the letters. Just something different.
