Thanks. I will go through the threads to see if there is more info on where to locate one. The dealer ceased operations in the 1980's, but have the original records that show the car was delivered on July 26, 1973 from that dealership so thought that a plate frame would further add to the history of the car.

If you can't locate a nice set, then you can probably restore them by stripping, filling divots, rechroming & repainting them/it.

For the divot filling, you can get an "Aluminum Welding Kit" from Vintage Trailer Supply which is essentially pot-metal like the frames are made of, & you use a small pencil blowtorch to fill in any rusted holes, then sand to smooth with 400 - 1000 grit - then off to the chrome shop, then paint after chroming (make sure to match paint colors before stripping).

PS - It's a little trick from one of my other hobbies - restoring the cast metal chromed pieces on our 1960 Avion T20 trailer (like an Airstream).

Check Ebay. The guy at the Lit show had one. I think the asking price was at or over $200.

Found a seller up in Merced.

Now the plate frame matches up with original dealer stamp from the July 26, 1973 delivery in Portland, OR.
