I have a set of early Koni struts that use the bolt/pin style of ball joints. I have a near-new set of ball joints off another 911, but I don't know if they're the wedge or bold type. Can someone please post photos of each so I can see the difference?

Thanks in advance for your help!

i know i just saw a photograph of the two ball joints side by side - definitely within the last month - a search should turn it up.

but it's not really hard. the pinchbolt ball joint has a definite semicircular scallop cut.
the wedgebolt ball joint has a definite V-notch.

Don't have pictures...but the bolt style ball joints (just put these in my car last year) has the shaft rounded out so it follows the curve of the bolt that goes through the strut. The wedge style is cut at angles if my memory serves me right...so the wedge bolt seats in the flat parts and pulls it tight. So one is notched round...one is notched angular.

The Pelican catalog should have pics.
