Hello, I'm a new member of this forum. My father-in-law is rebuilding the engine on a 1973 914 2.0. I realize some members sell parts here in the classified section but can anyone give me a parts website where I can order parts for him and have them shipped to his address in North Carolina? I would like an honest and reliable site that I can trust. Thank you very much for any help.

914rubber.com for all kinds of parts
also -
Tangerine racing
Pmb performance
Restoration design
There are other sources of parts for our cars. If you need something, just ask.
Local Porsche dealer can also help with small parts.

Agreed with skipping AA, unless you can go there in person.
Pelican Parts has a pretty decent selection of stuff. Bonus: 914world members bdstone and a914luvr are both part of the Sales team there! And the Tech Articles can come in handy as well.
GPR has been associated with 914s since way back when they were called "Mid-Engine Mania". And I believe the owner is a member here as well.

If you are looking for a "one-stop shopping" site, it doesn't exist. You will have to snoop around the internet like the rest of us. Sorry, but true.

You can't go wrong with any of the recommended sites mentioned in this thread. If you have an issue with them, give them a call and they will take care of it.

Keep in mind that MOST parts sellers with few exceptions do NOT have physical inventory.

We make our parts and have a significant inventory. We are a mom and pop business but we are growing.

Also, avoid anything labeled URO. Some reputable suppliers "offer" that product to supply the "CSOB" demand. But given a choice...............

They also go by OEM.

My old ancient personal resource page, look under the "parts" header at the bottom. Many of them have already been mentioned here, but it's easier to post a link than edit all the urls...

For engine parts I go with European Motorworks.
http://www.europeanmotorworks.com/Yes, Glenn and I work for Pelican and I have a shop full of 914 parts. We both know 914's well.
Ask question around here. Many knowledgeable people.
