I'm looking for the simple old school indoor only cotton dust cover for 914. Does anyone here have any recommendations?

All I can seem to find on the internet are indoor/outdoor synthetic micro-weave covers and I just don't want that kind of bulk to store when it's not on the car.

thanks in advance... beerchug.gif

I like the old school 100% cotton (or max 60/40 max. cotton/poly blend) with the super soft flannel or napped inside surface, which places like California Car Covers, etc. sells, but they are bulky. The soft flannel surface prevents scratches really well, & they usually have a stowage bag. Other companies also carry this type of material covers too.

This one is for my 73 914 with 2 mirror pockets ("ears") & the cotton in Scotchgaurded, but it's really an indoor or dry weather cover.

PS - Covercraft also has Flannel at the far right/2nd from right on their comparison table at the link below....

I use two things:
1 front hood gets a bed sheet . Tie some string around two of the corners, hang the loops on the mirrors. When I remove the front hood sheet, it goes into the dryer for 10 minutes and no heat.
2. The top and rear got separate pieces of felt. Went to hobby-lobby and picked up a couple of yards. Cut the targa top piece separate, hemmed edges at local dry-cleaners.
The rear trunk piece has two magnets sewn into the edge next to the engine lid. It won't slide off !

Both front and rear cover the bumpers; result is a very dust free ride. Easy on/off, light weight, easy to store
