I just backdated my front bumper, but a problem I've seen is that a piece of the bumper is in the way from the screw in the valence. Should the bumper be moved up some, or does the little edge go behind the valence there?

We need a picture of what you're talking about. Did you trim out the grip-lip for the late bumper? That will cause it to stand off. If it's just a screw interfering, trim the screw?
