I've decided to get of my ass and put together one of my T4 1.8 bus motors to sell ,have new Mahle B+P set with fully rebuilt heads ,thought I would sell it complete with 36 Dellorto's.
Never worked with these before so interested to see what others have done with otherwise stock Alfa carbs,both sets are stock jetting as per the the car I got them off;
135 mains,
52 idles,
32 vents,
#2 emulsion tubes,
180 air correctors,
Other set are ;
122 mains,
52 idles,
28 vents,
#3 emulsion tubes ,
180 air correctors.
perhaps the smaller vent carbs would be great with an otherwise stock 1.8 bus motor,should make good torque for a heavy bus,thinking the idle jets could come up a little on both sets???,comments
Doing the following mods to start with;
chokes deleted,
add extra vacuum point for 034 dizzy (RH side carb),
ditch wierd Alfa throttle arms,fit dellorto ones,
redrill top sections for 2 extra air cleaner studs,
modify aftermarket air cleaner bases that fit like ass.
Not worried about the cost to mod these as I payed SFA for them in great condition.
TIA.
