What's up with the tan underside paint?
Has anyone seen this car? I'd appreciate comments/critiques from the many "trained eyes" of 914world before I consider taking a trip to Georgia to see it myself.
Many thanks

There is some debate about what is the factory correct undercoating colors. There is a thread on here somewhere discussing it.
The tan is the color of the original undercoating. The question is whether or not the undercoating was oversprayed with body color. I think that it is pretty much universally agreed that the inner fenders, rockers, and below the engine tins on the fire wall all got body color over the undercoat.
I am of the school that the underside only received overspray from painting the above areas and the rest would be tan. Some conjecture that the underside was all shot body color.
Who ever did the resto on this car Went with the non painted original tan and appears to have gone a step further and allowed no overspray.
