Hello gents,
I'll be back in DC next week (7/10-7/15) and would like to meet any of you folks in the area if possible. I should have time in the evenings and I'll have a rental car, so can meet you wherever is convenient. Would be cool to see some cars and maybe grab a bite to eat.

Actually I'm over on JBAB, just outside downtown DC this time. But I've got the rental so I don't mind driving to meet up with you guys one day. I'm also hoping to get over to Manassas and a couple other Civil War sites while I'm up, but we'll see.

Only way to see mine is to come to my garage. Bonus is you'd see a just finished retaining wall project that's eating into 914 budget good places to buy beer in walking distance...probably not the exciting time you're looking for unless being quiet with an almost 3YO sleeping is fun

let me know when you and rob decide to meet up. my cars are in delaware but i drink beer : ) maybe root will be able to join us as well.

Rob/Jim/Nathan/WeatherMan, any thoughts on meeting up perhaps Wednesday night or Thursday? I don't know where most of ya'll live other than Reston. But I've got a rental and willing to drive. Suggestions on good food? I'm usually done by 4 pm each day this week and I fly out Friday morning.

Hey George - sorry, this week is bad for me. I'm heading out of town oh-dark-thirty Thursday morning for a road trip to New England, and I probably need to pack and rack beforehand. Sorry to be a pogue (again) .

I'm in Arlington, VA...in an area called Westover. We have Lost Dog Pizza, the Italian Store and Westover Beer garden.

Convenient for me (I can walk there), just not sure about for others

Also close-ish to me is the DogfishHead Alehouse in 7-Corners in Falls Church.

I'll try and be flexible, as I know most aren't inside the beltway. My wife was traveling for work last week, so she'll probably be cool with taking care of the little girl solo for one night.

I like Nathan's suggestion, though it might be a little bit of hike for Jim, it's about halfway between Sterling and where I'm at over here at Bolling AFB. Dogfish Head sounds AMAZING! Let's stick with Dogfish Head, but Jim, just come on over when you're ready. I won't be leaving anytime too early and may not get there till 7 myself. So we'll shoot for 6:30-whenever meetup. Nathan, please feel free to extend the offer to anyone you guys like. No need to bring out the 914s guys, just want to put some faces to names. Sjhenry, looking forward to meeting you and anyone else that shows up as well. I'll be wearing my grey and orange Series 9 Porsche shirt and a red FSU hat. Edit: had a good night, only George and my broth Aaron were there, but I think we had enough fun for the whole group (maybe 7.5-8% beers made me think so)

I never did see any 914 guys, but did meet up with a couple dudes who swore a lot and were a blast to hang out with!

Thank you Nathan and Aaron for a great night. I feel like we at least solved SOME of the world's problems and I met two standup gents. If you're ever down my way, you have all of our hospitality. Sorry we missed you Jim and the rest of the DC crew. Next time.

Edit: As is the normal 914World form, the picture is blurry. But you "get the picture".

That's funny, when the picture was taken it looked totally clear to me....I guess that says something for how I was seeing the world
