When I last updated I desided to 'glass the front fenders/doors to the rear fenders for a one piece side. The lids would be seperate. Here is a shot of the highly advanced technique I used to hold the door to the fender while I glassed them together. Those are paint stirers screwed on to hold them relative to each other. It wasn't pretty but it worked.

Wow its looking great smilie_pokal.gif How long before you test her out?
URY914
I have 10 dzus fastners holding the sides and the rear lid on. Plus two pins on the front of the rear lid. This make a total of 18 dzus and 4 pins.

I have my first a/x since cutting the ass off tomorrow. Should be a blast.
Hope it doesn't blow a rod into my head. biggrin.gif

Stinger might be ggod for 5 lbs.
Paint on the shocks and engine maybe .5 lb
Hump in front of steering wheel maybe 2 lbs
half the rubber on the tires maybe 6 lbs
you could probably run on a little less oil, so lets say half a quart = 1 lb?
How much does your racing suit weigh?? 8 lbs including the booties?
Hmm, add on 1 lb for the jock strap, no one wants you totally nude biggrin.gif

I've got you down another 21.5 lbs smilie_pokal.gif

How bigga boy are ya? got some weight to lose? Jockeys are only like 120 lbs right?
You ever coming near Va with that car? I'd love to see and hear it aktion035.gif

Here it is today at the a/x. biggrin.gif
URY914
It has been 6 months since my last a/x. sad.gif
Today's layout was fast and long. It was 1.2 miles long and had two strights that were .2 miles apiece in length. I topped out in third gear on both. My best time was 114.863 which means nothing, but it was fast. Nothing flew off or broke so it was a good day.
URY914
We got six runs and my foot was to the floor most of the time. I need more HP. (don't we all) . With all the changes I've been doing to it I have to learn to drive again every time I take it out.
I'm done for now with major changes. Now it will be taking care of details and cleaning up what I've already done.

Damn, my calculator says that is an average speed of 37.8 mph for 1.2 miles. Sure wish we had that much asphalt on our Portland course. I bet JP does too!
John
So how much does it weigh with it's "clothes"?

It's 1,315 naked.

I need to weigh the body parts and I'll see what I get for a total.
I'm hoping for 1,400.

John
1,400 lbs?

Damn.

That would be about 880 lbs lighter than my track car. And we just lightened it up over the winter......

(What, did you fill all the tubing with hydrogen or something?)

Good job on that. I bet your power to weight ratio will be close to 10#/hp or better. I know, you used unobtanium tubing.

How did you do in the AX overall?
carr914
Paul, Sorry I couldn't make it. My headers didn't get back from being coated. It sounds like a course I would have liked with my power increase.

smilie_pokal.gif Sweet!

I was in the top 5 overall. It was being put on by the BMW club and those guys have some big HP. A M3 with a supercharger and 18" slicks is pretty damn fast.

TC: The course and surface are nice, much-much better than Z-hills. I wish it was 50' wider but it the best place around here after McDill AFB.
