I did do a search this time! But no luck...

I am doing engine re-assembly this week. What do I need to have on-hand for supplies -- gasket maker, assembly lube etc? It would be nice if I could avoid making multiple trips into town!

Oh ya, stock 1.8L.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I thought it came with a how and when too break down, but I don't see it. You'll have to ask. If that does work search member Jake Raby, sealant.

agree.gif I bought that ass't from Jake a few years back. You have to figure out what does what. IIRC, they were higher than a Cat's Ass in a Dog Kennel. That being said, I've kept them in the house (climate controlled) and 5 yr's later I still use them occasionally. beerchug.gif

Three bond 1104 you can get it at any Honda ATV (hondabond) or yamaha (Yamabond) dealer for case.
I use Dow 55 for Orings, that would take a while to get as ebay is about the only source. locktite 565 also works, special order through Fastenal or Bradfasco. old stand by is oil.
Case to piston bottom black RTV works fine. Paper gaskets a little RTV rubbed into the paper works fine, no excess RTV for this.

Assembly lube just use oil with a good dollop of STP blue mixed in your oilcan.

The Raby/T4store stuff is spendy and will take you a couple weeks to get, BTDT...meh...
