I am asking everywhere and tried to get some background infoormation on this but no luck. This was in the trunk of the 914. Probably just in there to fill in space. Anyone know?

Someone just passed me yesterday going 85 wearing one of those in a Chrysler minivan the bumper sticker said living the minivan dream

Looks like a generic steel spare wheel like what Monkey Wards used to sell & others, with a newer temp spare tire mounted.

My other guess is for a 924/944, but IRRC those mostly or all had collapsible spares (maybe an early 924?).

Look on the back for any maker stampings.

I look at that with my 25 years of tire/wheel service experience, and my first impression is GM. I doubt it will fit even a 5 lug Porsche.

Time to get the measuring device on those holes to see what it fits.....
