Happy Birthday Jon. Hey, Aren't you due to come back out here to MI? As I recall, you said you might get out here this summer and we were gonna have a get together (this time with our teeners).

I'm here, I'm here.

Thanks everyone for marking this momentus occasion. This year's birthday was pretty low-key, just hanging out and happy to be alive and employed in the greatest country on the planet... California! wink.gif

Curvie, I'm not sure when I'll make it out to the Detroit area again. We had a group there just a few weeks ago for ETI week but I was not among the lucky ones to go. I'll probably get my break just as soon as the weather turns to crap again.

As for when will my car be on the road, well it should be pretty soon now. All I have left to do is:
  • trim and mount all fiberglass (quarter panels, front and rear bumpers)
  • fabricate a bulkhead mount for the engine (with Brad's help)
  • make or purchase carbon fiber deck lids
  • make or purchase polycarbonate windows
  • fabricate radiator mount
  • finish other bodywork
  • prime, block sand, and paint entire car
  • install interior (new dash, new carpet, new seats, etc)
  • install engine
  • wire engine for fuel injection
  • fabricate exhaust system
  • install mueller's roller bearing kits (front and back)
  • install suspension
  • drive it for 6 months and then sell it to buy a Boxster unsure.gif
There are a few things I'm sure I left out like fabricating a cable shifter setup and getting my PEFI to work with 2 turbos when it was only made for one. You know, little stuff. So yeah, it should be any week now headbang.gif

WOW Jon, after reading your list of things still to do, you're prolly
looking at what, end of July??? bs.gif

Hey, maybe instead of stealing, er, *moving* Darling's car to get
IT going, maybe we should have a Jon Watts day instead, huh?
