I just can't stop thinking about the teeners today.
I must have ready every post 3 times.
How can I possibly survive the day without getting fired!! Ha!
and I don't even own one yet! Yikes!
What do you guys do to keep your mind off the teeners???

Do what I did......."Retire".....now I can play with my teeners all day.
Back in the seventies when I lived in Northern New Jersey, on nice weekends in the winter I used to drive to Stroudsburg, PA because they had a indoor, heated car wash and I would wash the top and bottom of my 914. Good memories!

do something else... a break is good... I'll play video games 1-2 nights a week, just to balance things out a little... beer does help..

SMG914 where did you live in North Jersey? I'm a Jersey boy at heart but just moved to PA 2 years ago.
I'll tell you this there is no heated car wash in Stroudsburg anymore!

Nothing, that's why we're here.
Most of us are thinking about our'14's quite a bit, to put it lightly.
I had one over ten years ago. Loved it. Sold it.
Spent the next two years thinking about it and how to get another.
Found my '74 and then this place. Now it's an illness.

I lived in Newton New Jersey at the time. Bought my first 914 new at Jeff Sullivan P/A in Newton (I think it's called "Intercar" now).
Yeah that heated car wash was great. You just kept adding quarters and electric heaters in the sealing would heat the room up nicely and I used to pressure wash the underside of the car to get all the salt and dirt removed. Too bad it isn't there anymore.

I agree, I think about the teener almost all the time... when I go to bed I think about things I need to do... so I don't forget, I guess

SO !?!?!?!?
That's what you are supposed to do. Drive it, Wrench on it, Race it, sink money into it, Plan on improvements, Wash it, Make to do list for the night and whole week. Make list of next parts purchase so you don't forget nothing while on line. Put your car on wall paper of every computer you frequent (even if it's not your terminal). Co-workers hate that.
So if you break it down that way it's OK. Balance is the key to coping with 914itis.
Then there is Boobs, but always has to do with my car too.
