I am sourcing a stock front sway bay (none installed)

I have seen the Bushing "bell" and understand how it and the "backing plate" bolt together.
Is it critical to weld as well as bolt?

And why do I see the part pictured below capped off" ... is there a knock out plug ?

People weld in reinforcements to the body. There are a lot of stresses there.

Hi Bob, are you talking about a kit like Maddog has:

or something else?

Brian, My car originally had the sway bar without bracing. It started to crack the sheet metal around the mounting points. I opted to fab my own brace material but could have bought the mad dog kit. I highly recommend the bracing.

^^^ Thanks to all and thanks Mike.
I am going to reinforce then attach the "nut plate" both from the fenderwell side.

Best design I have seen, and I built a set for both my cars. My -6 is getting the 914 LTD plates, I like it that much.

You do not have to cut the inner fender support with this design.
