Great 914 project car, matching numbers, lots of potential with lots of new parts. Three owner car bought new in Oregon, spent the last 25 years owned by a police officer in northern Illinois. Bought two years ago by a father and son who thought they could restore it together. Lack of time and funds got in the way, and here we are looking for another good home for it.

It has had the original 1.7 rebuilt to a high output 2.0 by Kelly Moss Motorsports. While the motor was out the transmission, clutch, and flywheel were all inspected and all passed with flying colors. The clutch and flywheel had minimal wear, and are suspected to have seen little to no use before our ownership. Atop the motor sits a brand new pair of weber 44's tuned on a dyno for this motor, along with a new alternator and engine shroud.

It wears American Racing wheels that it wore in period, or we can also include a set of original steelies that need to be refinished. The cosmetics are rough, but fixable for anyone with the correct skills. Rust is confined to the hellhole and the rear bumper, but the hellhole rust is not structural and does not reach the firewall.

The interior is serviceable, with good seats and a center console from a 2.0 (All gauges work and tested but fuel temp isn't plugged in) flanked by new Coco mats. It has the classic worn bushings, but we will include brass and plastic replacements.

Modifications and work done include
  • Engine rebuild by Kelly Moss Motorsports
  • Monza exhaust
  • New rocker panels
  • Euro market rear tail lights
  • American Racing wheels
  • New alternator
  • New powdercoated engine shroud
  • Regular services at Kelly Moss
  • New interior wiring harness head
  • Center console with recently rebuilt clock
  • New aftermarket radio with AUX and USB
  • New speakers (Wiring for left needs work)
  • Rebuilt pedal cluster
  • New speedometer gauge wire

This car will come with multiple small spares and trim pieces, along with the original car cover, steering wheel, and leather bra. I hope this car can find a good home that will have as much fun and make as many memories in it as me and my father have. We have put over $23,000 into the car on top of what we paid for it, so we are pricing it at $7,000 but are open to offers. Payment preferred in PayPal.
