I've done an engine swap from a '70 2.0 to a '74 2.7, and noticed that the oil pressure of the new 2.7 is low judging by the numeric gauge in the dash. So I thought I'd pull the oil pressure sender from my old 2.0 engine to get the specifics.

What I found is that the oil pressure sender from the 2.0 that was working with the dash gauge is a VDO 0-10 bar unit. It has two numbers stamped into the fitting on the bottom: 29/10 and 4.82

Then I looked up the specifics on the stock oil pressure sender on a '74 2.7L and it is listed as a VDO 0-10 bar sender. I removed it to get more info and the two numbers stamped on it are: 29/50 and 3.79

I'd like to think that these two 0-10 bar senders are the same but now that I've removed the one from the 2.7 and see the different values stamped into it, I think its highly likely that the output of the two are different. And due to the metric fittings, I have no way of easily hitting it with air pressure today to measure it.

Any thoughts?
